In follow up to Swiss TYPO3 usergroup user conference, the Dallas TYPO3 User's Group is hosting the first annual TYPO3 Conference US 2009 in Dallas, Texas; Thursday, April 16, 2009 to Saturday April 18, 2009.

From the T3CON09 Dallas website:

There will be a variety of subjects covered during T3CON09-US including: template development, TYPO3 Version 5, TypoScript, starter site development, performance and much more. TYPO3 coders, hackers, users, admins and enthusiasts will all find useful information and help. Take a look at the talks and tutorials for more information.

T3CON09-US will feature the largest gathering of TYPO3 expertise to be assembled in North America to date. Presenters come from Europe, Canada and the United States. This is a unique opportunity to interact with well-known TYPO3 experts.  Presenters at the conference include: Kasper Skårhøj, Robert Lemke, Juergen Egeling and many more.

This is really great news to have a TYPO3 conference on North American soil. In my attending the TYPO3 conference in Germany these past four years, there was always the question of when the US conference was happening.

With my attending the TYPO3 Association meetings in Zurich and T3BOARD09 in Laax next month, my April schedule is tight with client projects. As such, I'm not able to attend. However, our own lovely and talented CMO, Nicole Johnson will be attending T3CON09 - Dallas on behalf of Acqal.

I give a very special thank you to the Dallas TYPO3 User's Group, Web Empowered Church, Ron Hall and Punkt.de for banding together to share how and make the first TYPO3 Conference in the United States a grand success.
